NDIA 2026 Annual Price Review
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) are accepting submission on its 2026 Annual Price Review (APR). This marks a significant shift, with the APR brought forward considerably compared with previous years.
WHATS NEW
-
The 2026 APR officially begins today, representing a major realignment in the review timetable.
-
As with previous APRs, the process will inform upcoming pricing arrangements and price limits across the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
-
The APR will assess market conditions, cost pressures, and sector feedback to guide pricing changes for the 2026–27 financial year.
DIA’s RESPONSE: WE WELCOME THE EARLY APR
DIA welcomes the NDIA’s decision to bring forward the APR. An earlier review provides important lead time for providers, participants, and families to prepare for any changes to pricing structures. It can also support greater transparency and help ensure the disability intermediaries market remains stable and responsive to economic, workforce and scheme reform pressures.
DIA HAS BEEN ADVOCATING FOR REDRESS OF THE 2025 APR DECISION
For much of this year, DIA has been actively lobbying the NDIA to re-dress the 2025 Annual Price Review decision, given the significant operational and financial impacts being experienced across the intermediary sector. Providers have been grappling with sustained cost increases, workforce shortages, and administrative burdens that are not adequately reflected in current pricing settings.
We view the earlier commencement of the 2026 APR as an important opportunity for the NDIA to more fully consider these challenges and ensure that pricing structures support sustainable, high-quality support coordination and plan management services.
