A DIA Board member, and the founder of a DIA member organisation have been recognised at this year’s South Australian Women Awards.

Cassie Day, DIA member and Founding Director of The Carers Place in SA won The All Rounder Award; while DIA Board Member and Founder of the Growing Space, Sam Paior, took out The Mum in Business Award over the weekend.

DIA CEO Jess Harper said he was elated by the results, with Support Coordination Businesses getting well-earned attention.

“Congratulations to DIA Members Cassie and Sam on the well-deserved recognition for the outstanding work that they do,” he said.

“DIA is a fervent supporter of Women in Business and the Disability Support Sector. Cassie and Sam have demonstrated the great value and importance that Disability Intermediaries have for people with a disability, in the business community, and to the Australia economy.”

The All Rounder Award recognises a woman who has excelled in a number of areas with persistence and dedication in the face of hurdles, while the Mum in Business Award recognises a woman who is ‘juggling motherhood and business and shown great growth in their business.”

The SA Women Awards commenced in 2018 to celebrate the achievements of women-led businesses in the state and the talent and diversity that they represent.

Congratulations Cassie and Sam!
