STAND UP FOR QUALITY: TELL DECISION MAKERS TO STOP THE CUTS TO SUPPORT COORDINATION AND PLAN MANAGEMENT
Support Coordinators and Plan Managers helps more than two thirds of all NDIS participants to navigate the complex scheme. But the government’s decision to freeze and reduce NDIS pricing limits threatens this support. If left unchanged, many Support Coordinators and Plan Managers will struggle scrambling to stay afloat, reducing their service radius, de-registering from the NDIS or closing their doors entirely.
Stand with us as we shout don’t cut quality, don’t cut choice, don’t cut control!
We’re asking MPs and the NDIA to:
- Pass on the 3.5% Fair Work wage increase and 0.5% superannuation increase to Support Coordination and Plan Management prices immediately, from 1 July – just like they’re doing for other supports.
- Reverse the cut to establishment fees and rural/remote loadings for Plan Managers – these are vital for people living outside cities and starting on the scheme. Particularly with the recent introduction of Section 10 NDIS Support Lists and Section 33 Funding Periods.
- Reverse the cuts to provider travel – so that services can still come to us in our homes and communities, not just in clinics or office settings.
- Set up an independent pricing authority – because pricing decisions should be fair, transparent, and based on the real cost of delivering services. That includes wages, compliance, and the real value of what these services provide.
This is about more than this year’s Price Guide. It’s about building a stem that values quality supports for people with a disability over ‘dodgy data’ and spreadsheets.

DIA has been asked by our members and the sector how to raises their concerns with decision makers about these price cuts.
In the past DIA has created template and quick fill generators, but that won’t do it for this year. Template emails are too easily ignored so we are asking our members and the sector to send your own emails, in your own words.
You can use DIA’s media release as inspiration on points to raise – please include DIA’s four asks:

Please include a statement similar the below at the top of your email to the NDIS Commission.
“Whilst I understand that Price limits are set by the NDIA, this years annual price review decision places significant limitations on our ability to support the NDIS Commissions planned regulatory reforms. Whilst we are supportive of seeing increased quality across the sector we have very real concerns that the expectations and desire of the NDIS Commission does not align with the what the NDIA is willing to fund, put simply any margin that existed for us to be able to respond and support the NDIS Commission in its work has all but been removed.”
